Dear friends,

I am pleased to announce you a new edition of our Blended Intensive Programme “Good practices in PhD supervision”, addressed to PhD supervisors who have been, are, or will be involved with doctoral students, to be hold in Tarragona at 20-24 April 2026 (on-site component).

https://www.urv.cat/en/international/mobility/in/cataleg-bip/

This immersive in-person week will be complemented by a virtual component, fostering collaborative online learning, knowledge exchange, and teamwork. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, roundtable discussions, and collaborative exercises aimed at enhancing their supervisory skills and understanding of best practices in doctoral education. The combination of face-to-face and virtual components will encourage a dynamic exchange of ideas and experiences, enriching the learning experience for all involved.

The novelty this year is that it will run in parallel with a BIP addressed to PhD researchers: "Get the most of your PhD", with which some common interest sessions will be shared. It is expected that the interaction between doctoral students and supervisors will be mutually enriching.

We recommend checking with the Erasmus+ coordinator at your home institution if there are Erasmus+ funds and mobility opportunities available for your stay at the URV. Participants who do not have Erasmus+ funds can take part with an Erasmus+ Zero Grant. For further details see “Mobility Procedures” in the web.

Best regards,

M. Dolores
